Now that we’ve swept 2009 away, what’s 2010 going to bring our way?

The wire services seems unusually quiet this New Year’s Day. It seems that very few are sticking their necks out with financial predictions for small businesses. Have they all grown so unaccustomed to headlines like, “Wall St closes out ’09 with best gains since 2003, Jobless claims hit 17-month low and WaMu says tax refund may double, shares soar.“

A few brave souls ventured some guess, and here a few, good ones with points for us to consider between ball games today:

  1. Dan Elder, business coach and management consultant with Business Growth Accelerators, shares his views of Energy Prices,Consumer Spending, credit, real estate and inflation in 2010.
  2. 10 workplace trends for 2010 by Heather Huhman at Examiner.com has much to impart about employers and emplyees in the near future.
  3. While on the website, take a moment to read Steve Beseke’s post, “Your Day In A More Realistic Way — So Long 2009!” Be nimble, adaptable and more realistic 2010.
  4. You may want to be aware that Freddie Mac sees rates headed to 6 percent by end of 2010.
  5. Finally here are 10 things small businesses can learn for 2010.

Have a very happy and prosperous 2010.
